Little Voices Speech Pathology offers families and schools a comprehensive range of Speech Pathology services in the north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne including:
Assessment
Full assessments of children's speech, language and literacy skills;
Screening and diagnostic dyslexia testing;
Full written reports provided for families, and all relevant professionals with detailed explanation of results and recommendations;
Follow up meetings with your child’s school to help them carry out recommended strategies and support.
Consultation
Expert advice on areas of children's speech, language, reading and spelling development;
Education workshops for parents, teachers and other community members;
Dyslexia specific professional development seminars for schools;
Webinars on multiple areas of dyslexia (coming soon);
Dyslexia advocacy support for parents;
Liaison with relevant specialists or teachers;
Therapy
Specialised speech, language and literacy therapy programs incorporating evidence based strategies and teaching methods;
Approaches used include explicit and structured phonics programs such as Orton-Gillingham, Sounds-Write, and Dyslexia Action Literacy Program;
Expert advice on areas of children's speech, language, reading and spelling development;
Home programmes;
No you don’t need a GP referral to access Speech Pathology, unless you are eligible for the Team Care Arrangement. Please discuss these with your GP to determine whether you are eligible. You may be entitled to claim a percentage of your fees through the Medicare Benefits Scheme.
